.. Sometimes I weigh up the price,
Of what I was then,
To what I am now,
And wonder in quieter moments
Was it all really worth it?
Then I realise
I haven’t changed
Just, time has changed without me

Changing with the times or not to change the time ?
Complex question. I think that after all, deep down, I am still really me. Almost turned full circle 😀
Maybe you’ve grown up and became wiser 🙂
Neither I am sure, just thicker armour 😀
That goes with a smarter brain 🙂
Erm, probably smaller rather than smarter, less room so to speak 😀
Halo huh? LOL I’ve been meaning to watch that movie Lucy.
I liked it, I was expecting more from the trailers, but second time around it was even better
All the times they are a changing…. 😀
I like him from time to time! 😉
You mean Bob Hope? As in Apples and Pears? Boat Race?
I’m lost in your thought/humour!
Bit of rhyming slang, I mixed with, “interesting” people in my formative years
Ok I see!! You’re poetic!!! 🙂
I would not go that far. I think at best it would be doggerel
Poetic, that’s what I said!!!
No, no this time no PC error, no keyboard mistake: Poetic! 😀
Oh, pedantic.. Of course
Oh, excellent, and so true!! I feel that too. I think we get a lot added to our personalities, some of it good, some of it terrible and often tragic, that’s what makes us feel we are changed. I suppose in a way we are, but the young one remains. I try to remind myself of that when I’m talking to someone elderly, don’t treat them as ‘elderly’ the person they’ve always been is just sitting in old skin. It happens to us all. Thanks for your relatable thoughts! 🙂
I like to think that a core remains
I do enjoy your writing and the thought that a core remains. very nice
I would like to think so. That part of me is still the old me, hopefully a good part 😀
